Being creative with herbs
Herb walks and wild herb cooking courses
Herb walks
«As a trained herbalist my passion is for wild herbs which are often unjustly called weeds.»
Judith Müller
Whether in the kitchen, in cosmetic application or as a healing herb, wild herbs are of good service to humans. Of course one should not use herbs that one does not know.
In my herb walks in the vicinity of the guesthouse, you can get to know and appreciate these herbs.
Pastor Kneipp once stated:
«One becomes indifferent to that which one has in abundance. As a result, hundreds of plants and herbs are deemed worthless and are trodden upon, rather than being observed, admired and put to good use.»
Who for instance knows that the stinging nettle has much more vitamin C in it than any known salad? That the ground elder or goutweed can make great-tasting spinach or that the yarrow is an age-old healing substance?
Therefore you should accompany me on one of my herb walks and I'll show you the treasures that the plant world has in store for us.
Wild herb cooking courses
Wild herb cooking - tasty and healthy. During the time of my grandmother, wild herbs were part of the poor man's cooking whereas today wild herbs and wild vegetables are gaining the prestige within healthy-eating spheres that they deserve.
In our cooking courses we pass on our knowledge of the value of these often disregarded weeds to those interested.
